Cedar Point, baby!
So on August 7, Mom, her boyfriend Steve, Jess (you're gonna see Jess in a lot of stuff since we do everything together) and I went down to Sandusky and spent the day at Cedar Point. Weather was perfect, but the lines for the coasters, not so much.
But Jess and I had a game plan called M&M: Millenium and Maverick. We were gonna hit those two coasters no matter how long the line was.
So anyway, we were planning on starting our day with the Raptor, but the line was a bit too long, so we went to kill time with the Blue Streak. When we got off the Blue Streak, the line for the Raptor was LONGER than it was before. So we decided to hit everything else and come back to the Raptor on our way out.
After the Blue Streak, we went to one of my personal favorites, Disaster Transport. It's an indoor coaster, so nobody was complaining on how it was "too hot to stand in line". It was only about a half - hour wait, which isn't too bad.
When we got off, we rode the Iron Dragon. That was a pretty cool ride, but it seemed sort of babyish to me and Jess. Mom had a ball.
After that, we went to the Mantis, the only stand - up coaster there. The line was about an hour, which took time away from the other rides we wanted to hit...those darned tourists!
Right across the way was the Millenium Force, and the line was about an hour or so. Then the coaster had some technical diffulculties, and the wait went up to about an hour and a half. We decided to come back to that, too. So we took the train to the other side of the park.
When we got off the train, Mom was ticked to see that the Mean Streak was shut down. Shaking that off, Jess and I went to go see how long the line was for the Maverick. We at least wanted to hit one of the big coasters we wanted to go on. The line was an hour, so we decided to get some pizza and take a little break.
Afterwards, we decided to take a little break from the coasters and decided to hit a little boat ride. We rested up our feet and enjoyed ourselves. So far, this is the only pictire where I don't look like a darylickt, 'cause in the other pictures I took, Mom made me take my glasses off :(.

After the boat, we hit the Gemini. Now, I'll admit that the racing coaster at Kings Island in Cincinatti is 10x better than the Gemini at Cedar Point. Why you ask? The Gemini doesn't go backwards.
After the Gemini, we hit the Mine Ride. Now Mom was all excited about that, but Jess, Steve and I didn't really care. It was a ride for kindergarteners in our opinion.
So anyway, after the kindergarten coaster, we hit the Magnum. Last time I was at Cedar Point with my friend Michelle, the Magnum was about a five minute wait. Not this time...
After the Magnum, I decided to take a video of Top Thrill Dragster.

Now Top Thrill Dragster is the scariest coaster at Cedar Point, in my opinion. The thought of going 120mph at 420 feet in 17 seconds really freaks me out. I told Jess that if someone famous (like Zac Efron, Amy Lee, Vic Mignogna etc) came up to me and asked if I wanted to ride with them, then I'd go. Otherwise, the people who risk their freakin' lives to go on that ride are CRAZY!
But still, it's fun to watch the crazy people go on Top Thrill Dragster, so I took a short video. Check it out in the video list.
So after Jess and I watched the crazy people on Top Thrill Dragster, Jess and I hit the Maverick. The line was an hour and a half, so Mom and Steve didn't want to wait that long and decided to wait until Jess and I got off. They missed out on the THE BEST FREAKIN' RIDE IN THE PARK!!
After the Maverick, we walked back to the front to hit the rides we missed. Millenium Force boosted up to an 2 hour wait, so we couldn't ride. But hey, at least we got the Maverick!
So Jess and I wanted to go on the Wildcat (a small but mighty coaster), while Mom and Steve hit the Iron Dragon...again. So Mom and Steve got done on the Iron Dragon while Jess and I were still in line for the Wildcat. While we were waiting in line, it rained a bit, but then it stopped by the time we got on.
We were going to hit the Raptor next, but there was a storm coming in, so they shut down all the coasters. So we decided to hit the souvenier shops.
There was this one shop that was all Peanuts stuff. They were showing A Charlie Brown Christmas on the TVs inside, and since that was our Christmas play, Jess and I were repating every line.
While we were looking around, there was a little kiddy playground-like area with Peanuts characters. So I gave Jess my camera and she took a picture of me and my girl, Lucy. I was also Lucy in our Christmas play, so I couldn't resist :)

Then, we saw it...the freakin' Great Pumpkin!

So it was a good day. Jess and I ended up getting matching Maverick T-Shirts. We left around 9:30-ish...and of course, the Raptor was up and running as soon as we left the park. Oh well! Maybe next year...when my dad and his girlfriend takes us!!
Thus ends the longest post I've ever written...
